Executive Director’s Report – January 2026

As we step into 2026, I hope the Holidays found you surrounded by family and friends. As I write this letter, we are on the cusp of the 2026 Legislative Session, which begins on Monday, January 12^th. I am filled with both excitement and nervousness.

I am excited that once again as we make our voices heard and our presence known to move our Legislative Priorities ahead in the State Legislature.

I am nervous as we face the reality of a considerable hurdle with the discussion over the state’s budget deficit, estimated at approximately $5 billion. Key lawmakers…
