Hi all!
Legislative Week is a way for you to participate in the lawmaking process. This is important work, but for those who have not done so before, meeting with legislators might sound scary. It’s not scary!
Luckily, RPEC equips you with a toolkit and live training to help you feel confident and be effective during Legislative Week. I will also be adding some resources to this post if you’d like to do some preparation ahead of time. Subscribe for updates!
Familiarize yourself with RPEC’s Legislative Priorities. These are identified by RPEC members and will guide us in our advocacy efforts through the coming session.
The Washington State Legislature website also has resources for learning about how a bill becomes law and how to participate in the lawmaking process, which you can find here.
