PEBB Announces Additional Savings on UMP Classic Medicare
PEBB held an emergency stakeholder meeting on Monday, August 5th, where PEBB announced that UMP Classic Medicare premiums have decreased by about another $34 per month. Now, monthly premiums will be $419.36 for UMP Classic Medicare with the Part D pharmacy plan. The change is due to an increase in the anticipated federal subsidy for the Part D pharmacy benefit.
Given the changes to the plan construction, retirees who are UMP Classic Medicare beneficiaries will see a $14M saving. RPEC and the PEBB Medicare Stakeholders Coalition are responsible for this significant change…
