ACTION ITEM: CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES TO SUPPORT SB 5096
Action Item: Contact your Representatives and ask them to support SB 5096, which would address the upside-down tax code by taxing high-end capital gains.

This bill passed out of the Senate on a 25-24 vote over the weekend and is scheduled for a hearing in the House Finance Committee on March 15. We are hopeful that House will keep the forward momentum on this bill and hearing from retiree constituents will help those efforts. We appreciate all those who contacted their Senators about this bill. You truly made a difference in securing its passage out of the Senate.
