BILL STATUS UPDATE
In addition to our top priorities of protecting the PEBB Medicare Benefit and ensuring the full funding of the pension systems in the state budget, we are also tracking several bills that have been introduced during the Legislative Session. Many bills have received public hearings and are scheduled for possible executive action in the coming weeks.

This past Tuesday, RPEC members joined nearly 2,500 fellow Washingtonians in signing in to support during the public hearing on HB 1406 in the House Finance Committee. The bill would address the state’s upside-down tax code by imposing a 1% tax on billionaires.

LEGISLATIVE DAY UPDATE
Attendees for our February 8th Legislative Day will receive the schedule of their district’s meetings via email in the coming days as they are finalized. On Monday, the Zoom meeting room will open at 9:30am and the meting will begin at 10:00am. Please login early if possible.
WEEKLY LEGISLATIVE UPDATE – EACH FRIDAY AT 1PM
