Petition Reaches 218 Signatures – Forcing a U.S. House Vote on the Social Security Fairness Act

A longstanding federal priority of RPEC has been to repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO), which unfairly reduce or even eliminate earned Social Security benefits for approximately 2.8 million Americans. The Social Security Fairness Act, reintroduced in January 2023, is a bi-partisan bill that would repeal both WEP and GPO.
