Governor Ferguson signs Substitute Senate Bill No. 5862 - March 30, 2026.

On Monday, March 30th, Governor Ferguson signed SSB 5862 during a ceremony in his conference room in the State Capitol building. Attending the ceremony were members from the Washington State School Retirees Association, as well as RPEC Chapter 2 members Mark Brown and Dave Calvert, and Derek VanSpoor, RPEC Executive Director. Senator Perry Dozier (16th LD) was unable to attend the signing, however Representatives Mari Leavitt (28th LD) and Beth Doglio (22nd LD) were in attendance.
