Sending a heartfelt “thank you” to each of you for your work this legislative session.  From attending the virtual Legislative Week in early February to responding to our many “calls to action” to attending the weekly Legislative Update Calls held weekly, you stood by us and provided your support.  It is the work of our members, as individual constituents and at a chapter level, that strengthens RPEC’s reputation as a policy and legislative retiree powerhouse!

  1. Hi Laurie, Thanks for your good work and clear communications as the ED for RPEC. I’m hoping to redouble my efforts on RPEC supported legislation as well as encouraging my many friends who are public retirees to get involved/engaged in the coming months and years. I’ll be at my chapter meeting in Bellingham on Monday to share the work of the legislative group.
    One question: it was not clear in the zoom meeting today what powerful interests were opposed to 5085 and 2034? Was that retired LEOFF or other groups? I missed your reference to the group due to other noise occurring in the zoom call this afternoon.
