Executive Director’s Report – August 2024

This week, President Clair Olivers and I met with the chairperson of the Select Committee on Pension Policy (SCPP), the joint bi-partisan legislative committee that guides the state’s pension policy. The SCPP is poised to determine a funding pathway for a recurring cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for PERS/TRS 1 retirees.  The committee will be making key decisions on September 17^th and will be considering potential legislative proposals on October 15^th and November 12^th.  It is imperative that ALL RPEC members mobilize in support of the restoration of…
